Wendy Awai-Dakroub started her career in marketing straight out of high school working for a medical manufacturing company in Newport Beach, California. After 5 years with the company, she was offered a role as Sales and Marketing Coordinator and traveled the world participating and managing their sales exhibitions and conferences. In 1992 she was offered a role to open the companies first regional office in the United Arab Emirates, where she helped set up their Middle East corporate office. It was in Dubai where she eventually decided to settle and began a new career with IT giant Cisco Systems as the Marketing Communications Manager for the Middle East, North Africa and Levant which lasted for 15 years. She is currently working as a IT Business Consultant focusing on helping Hawaii non-profits adapt and implement technology into their business infrastructures to become more sustainable.
